Day Six: Rockin’ and Rollin’ (At Sea)
“Anyone doubtin’ themselves?” Today we took the Aran Islands Ferry tour from the docks right outside our hotel and traveled about 90 minutes to the island of Inishmore , the largest of the Aran Islands off the coast of Ireland. Being the Atlantic and a windy day at that, the seas were very rough and the young crew of the ferry were regularly passing through the cabin to see if anyone needed a seasick bag. Thankfully, neither of us was “doubtin’ ourselves” and we made it to the island with no trouble. Our first stop was the bike rental, where we had our first experience with e-bikes. Katey would like to thank the tiny baby Jesus for inventing e-bikes, because they made the five-mile trek each way to Dun Aonghasa quite a bit easier.
